Sun Microsystems open sources its Java Programming language and associated software

The company has released the first Java code under version 2 of the General Public License (GPLv2), which governs Linux and other open source products. This will allow Java products to be easily integrated with Linux platform. The Sun-hosted Java.net Web site will offer access to Java Platform Micro Edition (Java ME) software for mobile phones and Java Platform Standard Edition (Java SE) software for desktop applications.

Microsoft changes its strategy

It seems Microsoft has changed it strategy. From years the company focused on Software distributing licenses for its Windows software and building software for the hardware that other manufactured. It signed agreement with Zend for future development of PHP. Large BPO pharma contract in TCS pocket

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India major software giant has bagged a large pharma BPO contract from Eli Lilly for providing drug development services, including clinical trial, data management, statistical analysis and medical writing.
